This page explains the functional cookies and browser-storage categories used by Sudoku Online. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy. The core game does not require a third-party advertising or analytics cookie to start playing.
1. WordPress login cookies

3. Language preference
If you manually choose a language, the site can remember that preference. Browser language may also be used to show a non-blocking suggestion, but the site does not automatically force you away from the English root based on IP address or browser language.
4. Local storage for games and preferences
Browser local storage can be used for an unfinished puzzle, gameplay preferences, theme/display choices, onboarding state, local statistics, language-suggestion dismissal, recovery/retry state, and a device-level identifier that separates local game data. Session storage may be used for short-lived state that should not persist indefinitely.
5. Why this storage is used
These storage mechanisms help resume a game, preserve controls you selected, keep language/appearance choices stable, recover safely from interrupted actions, and support account or competition workflows. Disabling all storage can prevent some of those features from working correctly.
6. How to clear or block storage
You can remove cookies, local storage, and site data through your browser settings. The exact controls depend on your browser and device. 7. Third-party services
If the site operator later enables analytics, advertising, embedded media, anti-spam, email, consent-management, CDN, or other third-party services that set additional cookies or storage, this page and the Privacy Policy should be updated to identify the provider and purpose before relying on that integration for production use.
